Extra partners recruited

Dell KACE, whose business revolves around providing systems management appliances that covers run-of-the-mill desktop management to critical patching, security and auditing, has recently seen an upsurge in partner certification.

Certified partner count in the UK has doubled over the last six months, the company said today, with partners – from large public institutions to private IT management companies – actively seeking out the service provider to improve and recognise their level of service to their clients when using Dell KACE systems management solutions.

The most recent uptake has seen several new companies sign up including SBL, Nviron, IC Technology, SICL and Galtec. Cliff Fox, managing director at SICL said, “We went through the certification process for Dell KACE as we recognised the value that we could get from this award. Our customers are looking for support in deploying better systems management processes based on the Dell KACE appliances, as well as projects like desktop management or Windows 7 migration.”

The systems management company’s K1000 and K2000 management appliances help companies roll out Windows 7 systems, for example, something that is still ongoing UK-wide.

Sean Gardiner, European Sales Director at Dell KACE commented, “We have seen a great deal of interest from partners in getting their teams certified around the Dell KACE systems management and deployment appliances, as this helps them deliver solutions to customers that can reduce the amount of time they spend on IT management tasks.”

Dell KACE’s European-wide certification programmes already encompass over 60 partners, just over two years since the PC manufacturer took over KACE. The appliance-oriented approach that Dell KACE adopts in system management seeks to get both public and private organisations streamlined systems management and, hopefully, eking out a bit more mileage from the corporate IT budget.

The company’s solutions have also begun supporting French and German languages, recently, which will reinforce its presence Europe-wide.
