Team up on cloud computing for “fast growth initiative”

Capgemini is to expand its relationship with global partner Salesforce, with increased collaboration in cloud services.

The outsourcing and consulting giant has been working with cloud provider Salesforce for five years now, and has recently launched its CustomerConnect Retail service using Salesforce Platform.

The pair are now planning to increase revenues in a “joint fast growth initiative” over the next two years by working more closely on an initiative which involves helping organisations to transform their businesses into “social enterprises” according to Capgemini.

As part of its plans, Capgemini says it will invest in Salesforce training and certifications to build on its current CRM, Enterprise Architecture and cloud practices, and will expand the number of dedicated Salesforce Centers of Excellence.

Capgemini also said that it will seek to extend its systems integration capabilities into cloud service integrations.

George Hu, Chief Operating Officer at salesforce.com commented: “One of the keys to salesforce.com’s tremendous growth has been the dramatic expansion of our SI partner ecosystem.”

“We are thrilled to be expanding our alliance with Capgemini to meet the incredible demand we are seeing from customers to become social enterprises across Europe, North America and the rest of the world.”
