More services, more money

Canon said its desktop print publishing services will give channel partners the opportunity to provide more value to their customers and benefit from increased print volumes.

iW Desktop 3.0.1 is used in conjunction with Canon’s imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform of MFDs, and is said to allow small to medium organisations create professional-looking and personalised printed documents in-house.

As a result of claiming to save organisations the time and costs associated with outsourcing high-value documents, it is said to be a useful value-add service for partners to provide to their customers.

iW Desktop is, Canon claims, an affordable and scalable service that works directly with a Canon MFD and print driver without the need for additional equipment.

This is also said to provide partners with the opportunity to sell Canon’s print publishing services to both small and medium-sized enterprises thus increasing revenue opportunities.

Partners can also offer iW Desktop 3.0.1 as a free 45-day trial, including a personalised URL which directs users to the partner’s site to purchase the full licence once the trial period has ended.
