Suse training programme to help channel deploy Suse Linux Enterprise Server running SAP Hana

Linux vendor Suse has extended its PartnerNet enablement programme to provide further assistance to SAP channel partners that want to deliver the recently announced version of SAP Business One for SAP Hana.

The partner training and sales support programme will, said Suse, help partners deploy, manage, and support Suse Linux Enterprise Server, which SAP recommends for running Hana.

Wizard combination

As part of the programme, SAP channel partners will receive access to the Suse Installation Wizard, a powerful automation tool that streamlines deployment of Business One version for SAP Hana with Suse Linux Enterprise Server.

SAP channel partners around the world can get addition benefits as members of PartnerNet Suse Installation Wizard, such as a special-edition, installation tool for Business One for Hana. They will also be able to access Suse’s electronic sales support for SAP channel partners and get tailored online technical training to become a Suse Certified Linux Administrator so partners can use Linux Enterprise Server to help lower the costs of deployment.

“Our partnership with SAP has enabled thousands of customers to gain the exciting benefits Suse Linux Enterprise has to offer, including decreased operating costs and improved performance,” said Naji Almahmoud, senior director of SAP Global Alliance at Suse.

“Linux Enterprise Server is the recommended and supported operating system for use with SAP Hana. With SAP Business One version for SAP Hana, we look forward to an ongoing upward trend in our customers’ success as they continue to see the value of implementing Linux within their IT environments,” he added.

Rinse Tamsma, vice president of channel for SAP Business One and Business All-in-One, said,“This new version of SAP Business One, which integrates the capabilities of our in-memory platform, will provide SMEs greater visibility and control of their business environments. And, through our close collaboration with Suse and our broader partner ecosystem, customers will benefit from additional options including integration of products and services as well as comprehensive operating system service and support.”
