The NTT company is focusing on services and the new man will lead the way

Dimension Data has announced the appointment of Barney Taylor as managing director for the UK and Ireland.

Taylor has been with Dimension Data since 2012, during which time he has worked as part of the Global Services leadership team based out of London.

Andrew Coulsen, CEO, Dimension Data Europe, said: “Barney’s knowledge and understanding of services, alongside his proven leadership capabilities, will bring continued success to our business. Dimension Data is committed to accelerating the ambitions of our clients and enabling their digital transformation.”

We must strengthen and grow our existing relationships and demonstrate services-led business value to our clients and partners, in a way that we have not done before in the UK and Ireland.”

Taylor will be responsible for growing Dimension Data’s current position in data centre, IT-as-a-service and enterprise services. Dimension Data is part of the NTT Group.

Earlier this year, Dimension Data acquired privately owned Ceryx, a Toronto-headquartered company that offers a suite of services across the Microsoft productivity and collaboration suite, including Office 365, Exchange, Sharepoint and Skype for Business. DD intends using the buy to enhance its hybrid cloud deployment services, particularly in unified communications.
