British security vendor Osirium kick starts channel activity with partner programme launch and distie signing

Security vendor Osirium Technologies has launched into the channel, naming its first partner signings.

The British firm, a specialist in Privileged Access Management (PAM), kicked off its channel activities at the beginning of January by signing a distribution agreement with Stockport-based Distology, quickly followed by the launch of the Osirium Partner Programme. By the end of the month it had signed its first five channel partners, including Cygnia Technologies, Landscape Networks and Gardner Systems.

From now on all business – with the exception of five flagship customers – will go through channel partners, including all renewals of existing direct business.

Partner recruitment

Osirium’s sales director Tim Ager joined the firm last month to head up the vendor’s channel operations. He says the vendor is aiming to sign up 20 partners in the next four months and keep its channel “as non-competitive as possible”. Osirium is looking to recruit a mix of service providers, security resellers, consultancies, integrators, plus it has a referral programme for penetration testing consultancies.

Osirium describes itself as “the world’s first, built-for-purpose, privileged protection and task automation solution for the hybrid-cloud world.”

Said Hayley Roberts, managing director at distributor Distology: “We have grown a very successful business as a result of our reputation for working only with vendors at the forefront of their technology field. We are delighted to have entered into this partnership with Osirium, which now becomes a fundamental component in our portfolio of security products.”

Ager says the new three-tiered partner programme has been designed to get resellers up and running as quickly as possible. While there is a revenue target for the highest partner level, Premium, he says the programme is “around commitment to making something happen, as opposed to you have to hit £200, 000 in a year.”

Theale-based Osirium was founded in 2009 and last year listed on the London Stock Exchange. IT currently has 36 employees but is growing fast.
