Avnet launches partner sales training for new channel trends

Avnet has announced a partner training programme to help understand and capitalise on emerging trends in the industry.

The distributor is launching the SolutionsPath Fundamentals training course which will cover 13 technology and two businesses areas.

The courses will be aimed at those who want to brush up on topics such as cloud computing and bring your own device, to learn how to add more value to services and grow their businesses.  Acronyms and terminology will be covered to help customers tell their SaaS from their IaaS.

Partners will have the flexibility to attend quarterly or biannual face to face training sessions, or to take part online.

Avnet has already scheduled 50 two hour session over the next 15 months, taking place in the Bracknell and Leeds offices.

“Avnet’s new programme addresses the crucial issue of training across the entire channel,” said Avnet UK sales director, Laura Harman.

“It is relevant for business partner employees wishing to be knowledgeable in growth technology areas or business basics,” Harman said, “whether they are new to the IT market, looking to expand their skill set or in need of a refresh on the latest topics in the market.”
