Avnet and Palo Alto Networks announce partner training programme

Avnet has forged a training programme for Palo Alto Networks resellers in EMEA.

It is hoped that the new venture will not only cement the relationship between the two distribution companies, but also help their resellers create new opportunities within the growing network security market.

Palo Alto Networks is a company that creates next-generation firewall products, which are said to help organisations improve visibility and control of network traffic while ensuring secure access to applications, users and content.

The training programme will aim to give the company a platform to showcase its services as well as strengthen the level of support for new resellers and channel partners.

Partners will be able to learn about market insight as well as participate in practical workshops to help them incorporate Palo Alto Networks’ technology into integrated data centre products.

The training, aimed at security engineers, network engineers and IT support staff, will be delivered in the local country as well as on-demand.

Anthony Greenhalgh, director of supplier acceleration, networking and security, Avnet Technology Solutions, EMEA, said: “Palo Alto Networks offers best in-class next generation firewall solutions. This technology will help channel partners across EMEA drive business growth in the network security market.

“The training programme will enable Palo Alto Networks to leverage our understanding of local markets and sound technology expertise to build additional routes to partners across EMEA.”
