Systems integrator Cisilion will aid in delivery of tailored enterprise communications platform

Easynet has partnered with systems integrator Cisilion to provide a consultation-based unified communications service.

The two firms will join together to provide collaboration tools such as shared document repositories, IP telephony and instant messaging.   The service will start with a comprehensive audit of a customer’s business, delivering a UC platform targeted to individual customer’s infrastructure.

Easynet said the systems will be targeted at a wide variety of uses including field sales teams accessing pricing information on tablets, customer service managers sharing a client’s history between desktops or finance teams sharing forecasts whilst on conference calls.

“It is often perceived to be easy for unified communications vendors to deliver an ‘off the shelf’ solution,” Justin Fielder, Easynet CTO, said, “but in order to extract the maximum value rather than just deploying a new piece of technology, what’s required is an in-depth understanding of the entire corporate network environment”.

He added: “Partnering with Cisilion means we can deliver a tailored unified communications solution coupled with a strong service wrap”.

Cisilion CEO Rob Morgan said that deal will leverage the two firm’s expertise in Cisco and Microsoft services.

“Naturally I am delighted that Easynet has selected Cisilion for this key partnership,” Morgan said. “The decision is a strong validation of our technical, marketing and business competence in the area of unified communications, where our ability to provide solutions from both Cisco and Microsoft is a key differentiator”.

He added that customers using its UC service will be able to access Easynet and Cisilion’s portfolios under a single service model.
