Arrow is expanding its cloud services distribution reach with an Oracle agreement that will help boost cloud business for resellers
Arrow Electronics has added Oracle Cloud services to its distribution offerings globally.
Oracle is offering its cloud services through the channel to “broaden its market reach and help its partner community extend their own opportunities and revenue potential with the cloud,” says the business software giant.
“Given Arrow’s long-standing, global relationship with Oracle, we are delighted to deliver Oracle cloud solutions to our solution provider community,” said Sean Kerins, president of Arrow’s global enterprise computing solutions business.
“Our goal is to create the industry’s most compelling cloud offering, and this agreement represents a significant addition for solution providers seeking to move up the ‘stack’. This addition aligns well to our strategy to provide a robust cloud portfolio, including SaaS solutions that address key business needs,” Kerins said.
Through the global agreement, Arrow will offer Oracle’s applications, cloud programmes and enablement services through the ArrowSphere cloud services platform.
Bruce Chumley, Oracle group vice president for worldwide alliances, channels and distribution, said: “There are many corners of the market and globe Oracle simply cannot reach. Our success relies on our partners’ ability to sell and implement Oracle Cloud services in the broad market.”
Chumley said: “For this very reason, we continue to invest more resources in helping partners maximise their cloud-based opportunities, in turn, extending the opportunities for our customers.
“The addition of Oracle Cloud services to Oracle’s VAD distribution offerings will not only help extend our reach, but also give both our reseller partners and our customers the chance to work with skilled cloud experts in their local markets. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
ArrowSphere connects solution and managed service providers and independent software vendors globally with a growing portfolio of cloud services. The platform features customisable web stores through which solution providers can offer Arrow-authorised cloud offerings, as well as their own, to customers. It also facilitates centralised billing and provisioning.
