Spanjaard formerly served in senior leadership roles at companies including NetApp, Imperva and InfoBlox. A10’s products are based around the three products of the Thunder portfolio – based on ACOS, A10 Networks’ software platform – the ADC (application delivery controller), CGN (carrier grade networking) and new Thunder TPS (threat protection system).

Henk Jan’s appointment is recognition that strong growth in Emea needs senior leadership to help guide our sales teams and channel partners to capitalise on the opportunity,” said Ray Smets, vice president worldwide sales at A10 Networks. “Henk Jan is an experienced and proven sales leader who has worked in high-growth sectors. We believe this new appointment will strengthen our channel relationships and presence across the theatre.”

Spanjaard said: “Organisations, whether service providers, web giants, public sector or Fortune 500 corporations, face critical challenges in terms of performance, security, energy efficiency and IPv6 migration. We can support them to successfully meet these challenges.”

He said: “The company is a market leader in application networking. The innovation shown by our Advanced Core Operating System and Thunder portfolio provides a great opportunity to win increasing market share within the application delivery controller and cloud network security markets. This is a great team and partner community.”
