Brother enhances desktop scanner range

Brother has enhanced its desktop scanner range to help resellers capitalise on the growing scanner market, in what Brother promises to be a year of improvements from the vendor.

Brother reported a scanner sales increase of 58 percent between January and September last year, while the overall desktop scanner market is growing at 15 percent year on year, it says.

The ADS-2100e and ADS-2600We, which are designed for small to medium businesses scanning up to 1,500 pages a day, include improved smartphone and tablet connectivity and enhanced usability features.

They also feature Kofax compatibility – software not included – enabling resellers to target companies within the financial services, insurance, government and healthcare sectors.

Other features include full Brother Solutions Interface support, which is ideal for ISVs and developers who want to create bespoke solutions.

Salim Hasan, technical product manager at Brother UK, said: “The Kofax compatibility and cloud connectivity on our new scanners gives resellers the opportunity to target new vertical markets with a high quality product that has already shown strong sales.

We have some more exciting developments planned later this year that will enhance our strength in the scanning market.”
