Cloudreach adds Zadara storage as a service to offering

Enterprise cloud broker Cloudreach says Zadara’s Virtual Private Storage Array (VPSA) platform is now available through its cloud platform offering.

Cloudreach said Zadara’s storage as a service offering would offer its enterprise clients the cloud economics, flexibility and scalability they needed.

As a cloud broker, it is important for us to bring innovative and cloud-ready solutions to the market,” said Cloudreach director Pontus Noren. “Zadara Storage was an easy choice for us because it brings enterprise features such as block (SAN) and file (NAS) support, clusters, SSD, and encryption; as well as advanced high-availability features such as snapshots, clones and remote replication through a pure cloud business model.”

Nelson Nahum, CEO of Zadara Storage, said: “Not only does Cloudreach expand our presence worldwide, but as an enterprise level ‘born-in-the-cloud’ cloud broker, they uniquely understand the client environment and how best to apply our technology in conjunction with major cloud compute platforms to bring value to the customer.”

The market is clearly shifting from an older model of CapEx-based storage array purchases toward a more flexible, efficient and economical as-a-service model”, said Simon Robinson, an analyst at at 451 Research. “This announcement by Zadara Storage and Cloudreach is another validation of the customer demand for enterprise-class storage as a service.”
