Ruckus Wireless hands out channel awards

Ruckus Wireless has named the winners of its annual EMEA BiG DOGs channel partner awards.

Top honours were presented to Purdicom in the distributor category and Ask4 in the reseller category, at an awards ceremony in Rome.

Purdicom picked up two awards, North European Distributor of the Year and Overall EMEA Distributor of the Year for 2014, “which reflects its long standing and successful relationship with Ruckus Wireless”, said the wifi supplier. Distributors Allnet, Alcadis and Westcon South Africa also received awards.

The North European Reseller of the Year and Overall EMEA Reseller of the Year 2014 gongs were awarded to Ask4, which has “expanded its influence considerably” over the last 12 months, making “significant inroads for Ruckus in the student accommodation sector”. The other winners in the reseller category were Odin Group, BMA and ThreeSixFive, all responsible for increasing Ruckus Wireless presence in the EMEA enterprise WLAN market.

James Calderbank, director of enterprise sales for Ruckus Wireless EMEA, said: “Our channel partners have continued to take advantage of the high demand for enterprise WLAN solutions, ensuring strong uptake of Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi technology across EMEA.

We continue to strongly invest in relationships with our distributors and resellers globally, highlighted by our award-winning BiG DOGs partner programme.”

Ruckus Wireless will be holding two more BiG DOGs channel partner conferences this year – one in Singapore in May to showcase the APAC market, and one in Las Vegas in October to cover the North American market.
