Unify strikes Android partner deal with Gigaset pro

Gigaset pro has entered into a new partnership agreement with Unify. As an Advanced Technology Partner of Unify, Gigaset pro will have access to a larger network of resellers and a large number of existing Unify OpenScape customers.

Unify says it provides integrated communications solutions for around 75 percent of the Fortune Global 500. Gigaset distributes its pro portfolio through a network of certified partners with a focus on Europe.

Unify will be able to add Gigaset’s Maxwell 10 to their product offering as a high end multimedia phone solution. As technology partners, the companies plan to hold joint partner events “to build a strong community”, they said.

Gunnar Boll, head of devices at Unify, said: “This new relationship leads to numerous benefits for Unify. With the Gigaset pro Maxwell 10, Unify complements its award winning, high-end desk phone portfolio with a very stylish, high-quality Android based video phone.”

Hans Juergen Huber, SVP business customers at Gigaset pro, said: “We are very pleased to have established a partnership with Unify. As part of the partner programme, Maxwell 10 will be available as a business phone for OpenScape customers.

Android based apps will drive the Unify services via the platform of Gigaset’s Maxwell and Unify’s cloud and on-premise based solutions.”
