Streamwire acquires Apple support specialist EvEnt

Streamwire has acquired EvEnt Computer Services, which offers technical services for Apple Macintosh and iPhone/iPad devices.

Established over 25 years ago, EvEnt is an independent Apple technologies specialist. It is privately owned and self-financed.

Anne Stokes, CEO of Streamwire, said: “Streamwire has fast developed a reputation for pragmatic and agile IT solutions which put the interests of the customer at the heart of our decision making process. It was therefore totally logical to extend our service offering into the Apple support market, and EvEnt with its 25 years experience was a highly attractive opportunity.”

She added: “What is also of particular interest to us is EvEnt’s OptiPlus consultancy service, which will be a major enhancement to our already comprehensive market offering.”

OptiPlus is a technical site audit service providing potential customers with a no-obligation, platform agnostic, impartial assessment of their current IT infrastructure.

Stephen Evans, director of EvEnt Computer Services, said of the deal: “The approach associated with Streamwire is totally refreshing and in tune with our own corporate ethos and people-focused approach to business. It is now time for the next step in our journey.”

EvEnt has been acquired for an undisclosed sum. The Stansted-based business will continue to trade from its existing premises “in the medium term”, said Streamwire.
