Kite Distribution floats AppRiver cloud security in UK

AppRiver has signed a distribution agreement with Kite Distribution to deliver its cloud-based security solutions across the UK.

This agreement highlights our commitment to bringing innovative technologies to the UK channel,” said Kip Tumber of Kite Distribution. “AppRiver gives channel partners the ability to offer tremendous value around security, performance, single pane of glass management and award winning customer support.”

AppRiver says it currently protects 47,000 businesses around the globe from today’s most sophisticated IT threats. The company’s cloud-based security suite includes email hosting, email security, archiving, encryption, web protection and the popular Microsoft Office 365 productivity suite. All services come with a 30-day free trial and are backed by AppRiver’s signature Phenomenal Care.

Rocco Donnino, EVP, AppRiver, said: “Our technology was designed to keep businesses productive and information secure. And we’re pleased to be offering the Kite Distribution partner community choice, enhanced functionality and greater overall value.”

With AppRiver, the partner can set the price, bill their customers and cancel their service at any time, while AppRiver can handle support and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. AppRiver says it offers “affordable” per-user, pay-as-you-go services that give partners “greater flexibility” and “more control without hidden charges under the surface”.

AppRiver offers its partners a management console – a portal where Kite Distribution can manage its partners, and a separate portal where resellers can set up end users and manage their services.
