TmaxSoft hires ex-Oracle man to lead channel database sales

TmaxSoft has appointed ex-Oracle man Sanjeev Sanotra as its ISV/channel sales manager for the UK.

Sanotra will strengthen the infrastructure IT provider’s independent software provider (ISV) Tibero database partner programme in the UK, increasing the business’ “competitive advantage” in a market dominated by larger players, said TmaxSoft.

Sanotra has previously been employed by Snow Software and Oracle, consulting end users and partners on their Oracle license usage. “With eight years experience in the Oracle arena, he is well placed to drive TmaxSoft’s business through beneficial relationships with ISVs and channel businesses”, said TmaxSoft.

Sanotra said: “Since I have worked in the Oracle arena across various roles over the last eight years, be it with a VAD, partner or vendor, I have become well versed in the complete ecosystem and methods deployed by Oracle in dealing with its clients.

What has become clear is that the practices Oracle uses, and the effects these practices have on its customers and partners, leaves the user community feeling pressurised and cornered with no place to go.”

He said: “TmaxSoft’s Tibero database is currently the only truly viable alternative to Oracle in the market. Its ease of migration – with 100 percent Oracle compatibility – addresses the stranglehold Oracle has over the modern middleware and enterprise IT marketplace.”

Carl Davies, managing director for TmaxSoft UK, said: “Sanjeev is the perfect fit for our organisation and a great addition to our UK team. His eight years of experience in the Oracle arena will bring a great level of expertise to our partner programme.”
