Capita acquires security testing firm Westpoint

Capita has acquired Westpoint, a specialist in the supply of technology and cyber security testing services, including vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, mobile application and social media testing.

The acquisition will enhance Capita’s capability in the cyber security sector, and enable Westpoint to service a wider portfolio of clients and better meet the needs of existing customers, said Capita. Westpoint will become part of Capita IT Professional Services.

Westpoint will strengthen our provision of specialist testing services and help us deliver ever more innovative cyber security solutions for our clients.”

Mike Williams, director, Westpoint Limited, said: “Capita has a reputation as an experienced, trusted provider of IT services and has the scale and expertise to help us expand and develop our offerings. We look forward to working together to deliver the best possible security testing services to our clients.”
