3Diligent announced today it has launched its updated procurement service with new software and the name ProdEX and launched 3Diligent Shopsight, a new manufacturing shop management software.
The two services work closely with one another to enhance 3Diligent’s award-winning Industry 4.0 offering. ProdEX provides engineers and buyers a one-stop shop for express manufacturing across thousands of material and technology combinations. ProdEX is powered by users of Shopsight, and offers shop managers manufacturing parts and products with powerful tools to manage and enhance their operations.
“3Diligent strives to accelerate innovation and advance Industry 4.0. By empowering manufacturers with our Shopsight software and, in turn, enhancing the procurement experience for our ProdEX users, we have taken this pursuit to the next level,” said Cullen Hilkene, CEO of 3Diligent.
3Diligent ProdEX represents a major step forward in the company’s flagship digital manufacturing service. With ProdEX, procurement buyers and engineers developing products can source custom parts on demand through a secure web portal. The ProdEX service includes dynamic assessment, quoting, and fulfillment of requests using proprietary algorithms. With ProdEX, companies can outsource the challenges of supply chain disruption and managing hundreds of suppliers to the expert ProdEX team.
ProdEX includes powerful search tools that allow customers to rapidly search for and identify solutions from the ProdEX database of hundreds of machines and hundreds of materials. It includes real-time part assessment and quoting features that allow customers to rapidly compare manufacturing options. The software allows customers to customize their eligible suppliers using criteria such as country, certifications, and conformance documents.
ProdEX utilizes 3Diligent’s global network of manufacturing partners, currently numbering nearly 350 manufacturing plants across 20 countries and six continents. The depth and breadth of its network allows its customers to select from technologies such as 3D Printing, CNC Machining, Sheet Metal, Casting, and Injection Molding. Materials offered include metals, polymers, ceramics, composites, and more. There is no cost to submit request for quotes (RFQs) using the ProdEX service.
3Diligent Shopsight empowers manufacturing shop operators to significantly streamline and enhance their pre-production and production operations while also gaining access to ProdEX job opportunities.
With the pre-production solution, suppliers can leverage 3Diligent tools to assess in seconds which technology-material combinations are viable for a job. Further, they can estimate the price just seconds later. This functionality is critical for operators that currently spend hours assessing the best possible way to make parts and requoting work for customers.
3Diligent’s production package enables fabricators to ensure consistent quality and efficiency once an order has been received. With integrated task lists, job routing, and audit trails, the distance “from the top floor to the shop floor” has never been so short.
Shop operators seeking additional project opportunities may opt into receiving job opportunities from 3Diligent’s ProdEX service. In this way, the Shopsight software has the added benefit of creating revenue opportunities for operators in addition to saving them time and money in support of existing accounts.
