Acoustic, the largest independent marketing cloud with a total focus on the marketer, today announced the appointment of Norman Guadagno as Chief Marketing Officer. Guadagno will host Acoustic’s launch event on October 3rd in New York City, which will help marketers understand and respond to the most critical trends in the industry.
As Acoustic’s first CMO, Guadagno will lead the strategic marketing agenda to support the growth of Acoustic via brand and product marketing across channels and introduce current clients to new and improved product offerings. Guadagno will be the senior marketing leader at Acoustic, with a core team in New York City and regional teams across Europe and Asia Pacific. He is based in Boston.
“Norman’s relentless focus on driving measurable results, pushing the boundaries of how marketing can best serve the needs of businesses and delivering exceptional customer experiences makes him the perfect person to lead Acoustic’s marketing strategy,” said Acoustic CEO, Mark Simpson. “Marketing to other marketers is a unique challenge, but Norman’s experience working with household name brands and startups alike will enable him to further improve our best-in-class solutions that appeal to businesses of all sizes.”
Guadagno has more than two decades of experience as a marketer and strategist for leading brands and agencies. Most recently, he was SVP of Marketing at Carbonite where he helped the company transition from a respected B2C brand to a leading B2B brand by leading the marketing integration of multiple acquisitions, driving double-digit pipeline and revenue growth and building a scalable B2B demand generation engine. Prior to Carbonite, Guadagno served as SVP of Marketing at marketing agency Wire Stone (now part of Accenture Interactive), where he supported numerous Fortune 100 brands, including Boeing and Nike. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Microsoft and Oracle, among other technology companies.
“Just months after going independent, Acoustic is already exceeding expectations and filling a gap in the marketing industry through AI and purpose-built solutions that solve the real problems marketers face everyday,” said Guadagno. “I’m looking forward to offering marketers cutting-edge automation tools that handle monotonous day-to-day tasks at scale, freeing them to be more creative, develop more meaningful connections with their customers and get increasingly better results.”
Guadagno joins Acoustic at a pivotal time for the company, which separated from IBM in July 2019, debuting as the largest independent, full-scale marketing cloud. In celebration of its recent launch, the company will be hosting its first event designed to address the most pressing needs of its marketing clients, which include 3,500 brands – from innovative startups to Fortune 500 companies – spanning numerous industries and more than 70 countries.
The Acoustic Launch Event will be held on October 3, 2019, from 3:00 – 8:30pm ET at the historic Caldwell Factory in New York City. Attendees will discover how Acoustic’s solutions help marketers connect with their customers from Mark Simpson, hear from Experience Enterprises Founder and CEO Megan Burns about how to make business human, learn how the trends reshaping MarTech impact their business from leading industry analysts, hear how peers are boosting results and experience Acoustic’s new products and features first-hand.
