Alation is proud to ally with nonprofits that support women’s success, as well as a more equitable industry. Studies reveal that diverse teams have a positive impact on business performance, employee retention, and employee engagement. Gender is one aspect of diversity, and with the sponsorship of Women in Data and Women in Revenue, which empower women in data, marketing, sales, and technology, Alation extends its support for their missions, members, programs, content, and events.

Today, March 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. PST / 2 p.m. EST, Alation is hosting a special edition of its Women Who Catalog event to celebrate International Women’s Day. Women Who Catalog supports diversity in data careers and provides a forum for networking, education, and career development for women in analytics, data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI). Attendees will hear from Michelle Hoiseth and learn about her journey to becoming CDO of Parexel. Register for today’s event here.

“Women are disproportionately represented in technology, specifically in the data and analytics space,” said Tracy Eiler, CMO of Alation and founding member of Women in Revenue. “The most successful, innovative, and productive organizations have a diverse employee-base. It’s time to disrupt the status quo and help companies understand what it takes to attract and retain us. This is the first of many steps Alation is taking to foster communities and partnerships with organizations that embrace and take meaningful action to support, celebrate, and empower women.”

Women in Data was founded to foster a community of women dedicated to career advancement and uplifting one another. Its mission is to increase diversity in data careers, and provide awareness, education, and advancement to women in technology, specifically analytics, data science, machine learning, and AI. Women in Revenue was founded in 2018 by 12 revenue-driven women. The organization’s mission is to achieve workplace equity through networking opportunities, mentorship, and education.
