Ancestry® Names Mike Linton Chief Revenue Officer

Ancestry®, the global leader in family history and consumer genomics, today announced that Mike Linton will join the company as chief revenue officer on Sept. 23. Linton will lead all consumer and product marketing with a focus on accelerating growth and continuing to build a global brand that consumers love and trust. In this newly created role, Linton will join Ancestry’s executive leadership team reporting to chief executive officer Margo Georgiadis.

Most recently, Linton was CMO for Farmers Insurance where he was responsible for all marketing, digital, branding, customer experience, research, analytics, sponsorships and promotions. He previously held the role of CMO at eBay and Best Buy. Linton is a seasoned and sought-after business leader and serves on the Board of Directors of The Wine Group and Medical Solutions.

Linton is an award-winning marketer. He has been recognized by Ad Age, Promotion Magazine and has won four Effies. In 2017, he was named one of the 50 Most Innovative CMOs in the World by Business Insider.
