Apstra® Inc. today launched Apstra Academy, an online and classroom-based educational system for engineers looking to master Intent-Based Networking (IBN). As the first company to offer IBN in a commercial product, Apstra has deep expertise and first-hand knowledge of how required components such as automation and closed-loop telemetry provide highly reliable and resilient networks while dramatically improving operational efficiencies.

Differentiated from all other training courses, Apstra Academy emphasizes the goal of simplifying the creation and management of complex network systems, regardless of the hardware vendor that is selected. This hands-on training offers exposure to multiple Network Operating Systems (NOS) including Cisco NX-OS, Arista EOS and Cumulus Linux, while minimizing the requirements for the Command Line Interface (CLI). An emphasis on a software-first model ensures that the customer remains in control of their selected infrastructure for the entire lifecycle of the system.

Classes and certifications offered in Apstra Academy are designed to rapidly up-level skills in the following areas:

  • Network Automation
  • Data Center Design
  • Root Cause Identification

“As a company focused on ensuring positive developments in data center networks, Apstra is proud to offer these education offerings to interested engineers, operators and architects,” said Josh Saul, Head of Technical Marketing at Apstra. “Using Apstra’s AOS® software to explore Intent-Based Networking provides the user with a learning experience that is independent of any network vendor NOS. These classes provide selected exposure to all supported network operating systems, with a simple way to view the differences between various syntax.”
