The state’s official website, Arkansas.gov, and Governor Asa Hutchinson’s website, governor.arkansas.gov, both received “Government Standard of Excellence” awards in The Web Marketing Association’s 17th annual WebAward competition.

The WebAward program is the longest-running annual website award competition dedicated to naming the best websites in 96 industry categories, while setting the standard of excellence for all website development. The “Standard of Excellence” award is presented to entries scoring above average in their industry. Both Arkansas.gov and governor.arkansas.gov received scores higher than the industry and WebAward average for the government category.

“I am pleased that our website, governor.arkansas.gov, and Arkansas.gov have received this honor,” said Governor Asa Hutchinson. “I’m proud of the individuals who have dedicated countless hours of exemplary work to make Arkansas shine as a leader in technology and service to Arkansans.”

This marks the third award received this year for governor.arkansas.gov, and the second award received for Arkansas.gov. Governor Hutchinson’s website was previously recognized for two international awards — a Hermes Creative Gold Award and a Communicator Award of Distinction — both for excellence in a government website. Arkansas.gov was previously recognized with a second place win in the Center for Digital Government’s Government Experience Awards.
