ATI Physical Therapy (ATI), one of the nation’s largest providers of physical therapy services, today announced the appointment of John Andrews to Vice President of IT Service Delivery & Vendor Management. An information technology (IT) veteran with a history of customer-centric innovation, Andrews will draw on his expertise in technology services and systems development to support the continued buildout of ATI’s IT enterprise. He will report to Augustus Oakes, ATI’s Chief Information Officer.
Andrews will be responsible for developing and implementing in-clinic and end-user technology standards, working to create a more seamless technology experience for team members across ATI’s entire footprint. He will also take over the duties of vetting and managing ATI’s technology vendors. Andrews’ demonstrated success in creating and improving complex technology services and systems that meet an organization’s unique needs and goals will be imperative to supporting the growth of the ATI brand.
“John’s success in developing standard IT services that complement overall business strategy is well-aligned with our continued goal of providing exceptional services to our patients, team members and partners,” said Oakes. “His superior customer service skills, development savvy and operations excellence will surely be an asset in our continued digital transformation efforts.”
He has extensive experience in the healthcare space, most recently with healthcare services consultancy Press Ganey, leading enterprise-level IT Infrastructure strategy, service delivery and hardware engineering. Prior to that, Andrews served as Divisional Vice President at Walgreens, where he helped build its customer-centric technology infrastructure and managed the teams responsible for in-house and customer tech support across the company’s entire 10,000-plus location network, among other accomplishments.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has made it clear that reliable IT systems and services are critical to any successful operation, especially that of an essential business such as ATI Physical Therapy,” Andrews said. “I’m looking forward to joining this talented team in pursuit of its goal to create a more integrated technology experience for patients and team members. This will allow us to continue delivering the highest-quality, patient-centric care that ATI has built its name on.”
