Automox today announced that Pascal Borghino has joined the company as VP of Engineering and Architecture. He brings more than 20 years of experience in building and operating enterprise-scale services, and running data centers and cloud environments around the world. Most recently serving as the Head of the Developer Platform at WeWork, and previously as a director in Infrastructure Engineering at Twitter, Borghino will lead Automox engineering and report directly to Jay Prassl, Automox’s CEO.

Automox is coming off its fourth quarter of record growth that has seen its platform become the most recommended solution in endpoint security and the preferred endpoint management solution for over 1,500 customers across 30 countries. Borghino will focus on continuing Automox’s path of displacing legacy endpoint management tools so companies can realize improved cost efficiencies, speed and the simplicity of modern, cloud-native endpoint and workload management.

“The challenge we are tackling at Automox is monumental. IT Operations teams have been saddled with managing numerous tools to keep different operating systems, third-party software, and configurations current to prevent technical breaches. Pascal has experienced this challenge repeatedly over his career as he built the infrastructures behind Yahoo!, Twitter, and WeWork,” said Jay Prassl, Automox CEO. “Pascal is uniquely passionate about our problem set and uniquely qualified to enable the Automox infrastructure to modernize endpoint management at a scale and speed the industry has never seen before. I am thrilled to have Pascal on the team.”

Beyond WeWork and Twitter, Borghino has also held senior engineering and development positions at Yahoo! and IBM, along with a variety of startups. In each role, Borghino was responsible for the development of cloud platforms, building and supporting customer-facing tools, data collection functionality, managing the reliability of all services, and establishing and training full organizations to service engineering practices. He brings a wide range of experience, vision, passion and excitement to Automox to support the company’s growth and drive the product vision.

“I have been in our customers’ shoes, managing hundreds of thousands of servers worldwide with no easy access to configure or ensure their compliance with the various industry standards we were expected to meet. When I was introduced to Automox, I realized that I could help my colleagues not have to experience the same challenges that I did,” said Borghino. “I am excited about the vision that Automox is pursuing. The opportunity to enable my peers and the industry to harden infrastructure against attack through a modern, automated cloud-native platform was just too good to pass up. We’ll be adding some of the best and brightest to our team from around the country, so if you like disrupting legacy markets, our team might be the one for you.”
