Reflective of the company’s recent and projected continuous growth, Beacon Healthcare Systems announced today the appointment of Mackey Long Jr. to the position of vice president of sales, major accounts. In his new role, Long will focus primarily on introducing Beacon’s industry-leading appeals and grievances, compliance, and analytics products to leading health plans nationwide and on presenting the value-proposition that makes Beacon the trusted health care partner for a growing number of organizations throughout the country.

Most recently, Long served as director of sales for AllazoHealth, a digital health startup that provides strategic and consultative sales of AI-powered predictive analytics to health plans, providers and integrated health systems. Immediately prior Long was vice president of business development of iCare Intelligence where he was responsible for the strategic and consultative sales of a value-based care SAAS solution for health plans and their provider groups and health systems.
Long holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University at Montgomery. His career also includes vice president positions at both GeBBS Healthcare Solutions and PharmMD as well as highly successful field sales experience with Gannett, Middlebrook Pharmaceuticals, Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals and Aventis Pharmaceuticals.
