Brook Restoration Ltd. announced today it has acquired Wall-Tech Restoration Inc., a contracting firm specializing in building envelope restoration. The acquisition, effective July 1, 2019, is an important step in building Brook’s integrated portfolio of capabilities and opening new markets for growth in property restoration services.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity to build a unique partnership that offers more than the sum of our individual parts,” said Geoff Grist, Chairman, Brook Restoration. “With our combined capabilities, portfolio and customer relationships, we will be very well positioned to offer services on a much wider scale, open in new markets and grow skilled talent that will allow us to realize opportunities that may not have been possible separately.”

Brook has grown significantly over the last several years and the acquisition is a central element to its own strategic growth plan. The combined organization will have a solid financial foundation to leverage further growth, optimize buying power and enhance the service experience to customers.

“Brook understands our business and we are excited about the new opportunities that are now possible through the integration of our businesses,” said Ed Welch, President, Wall-Tech Restoration. “They share our vision for strategic growth and our desire to provide an exceptional experience for our customers. In addition, all our employees will benefit through access to their state-of-the-art safety and skills training facilities. This is clearly the right move for us at the right point in time.”

Wall-Tech Restoration will be integrated into the larger organization and operate as Brook Restoration. Geoff Grist will continue in the role of Chairman and Wall-Tech’s President, Ed Welch, will lead Brook Restoration’s day-to-day operations as CEO. Clem Smid, a partner in Wall-Tech since inception is retiring after more than 40 years working in the industry.

“I am delighted to formally welcome the Wall-Tech team into the Brook Restoration family and to thank Clem Smid for his contributions in helping shape our industry,” continued Grist. “We are excited about the highly complementary fit and strong values shared across the two organizations. I look forward to both teams working closely together to accelerate our future growth in the building restoration industry.”
