Nelson has a proven ability to leverage his financial institution experience, earned as the CFO of a regional financial institution, to communicate the strategic importance of business intelligence solutions to financial institution executives.

Before joining FI Navigator, Nelson was a senior sales director with SNL Financial for three years with responsibility for the SNLBanker business intelligence solution. SNL Financial was subsequently acquired by S&P Global for over $2 billion.
Prior to his time at SNL Financial, Nelson was a regional sales manager with Banker’s Dashboard, a fintech start-up that experienced tremendous growth during his ten years with the company. Banker’s Dashboard was ultimately acquired by Deluxe Corporation for $45 million. Nelson also served for eight years as the senior vice president and CFO of The Bankers Bank, a regional correspondent bank.
