Canada Drives Named One of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for Second Year Running

Sponsored by Businesswire

Canada Drives has received the prestigious Canada’s Best Managed Companies designation for the second year in a row.

The 2020 Best Managed program award winners are amongst the best-in-class of Canadian owned and managed companies with revenues over $25 million demonstrating investment in talent and technology, innovation in a competitive environment, and an increased focus on global competition. Every year, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies compete for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates the calibre of their management abilities and practices.

Canada Drives simplified auto financing for all Canadians with its customer-friendly online platform and nationwide dealer network. An industry leader in auto finance, Canada Drives has expanded to offer a variety of credit products in Canada helping over one million Canadians a year.

Applicants for the 2020 Best Managed program are evaluated by an independent judging panel comprised of representatives from program sponsors in addition to special guest judges. Selected companies share commonalities that include (but are not limited to) a clear and concise strategy, capability to invest in R&D, tools and proprietary equipment, and a strong emphasis on corporate social responsibility.

Today’s announcement by Deloitte marks Canada Drives’ second time receiving the prestigious designation after its initial win in 2019. Founder and Co-CEO Cody Green accepted the fintech company’s first award in Toronto last year.

Regarding today’s announcement, Green attributed the recognition to the people around him, “Canada Drives is honoured to requalify for the Best Managed Companies program. It’s amazing to look back and see how far we’ve come in the last 10 years. These consecutive wins are a result of our team’s unwavering commitment to providing a service that’s fair and accessible to all Canadians.”

Canada Drives has enjoyed ample recognition for its work to date. Besides receiving Canada’s Best Managed Companies award, the fintech company has been named multiple times on the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ and Deloitte North American Technology Fast 500™ ranking.

“This year’s Best Managed winners are a testament to the success found when businesses are deliberate about seizing the opportunity to do better; they invest in game-changing technology, commit to their corporate purpose and social responsibility, and solidify their place on the world stage,” said Peter Brown, Partner, Deloitte Private and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program. “Canada’s Best Managed Companies celebrate a community of the strongest private businesses that shape our country and fuel Canada’s competitiveness, creating sustainable economic growth in an evolving global market.”

2020 winners of Canada’s Best Managed Companies award will be honoured at the annual Canada’s Best Managed Companies gala in Toronto on April 1, 2020. On the same date, the Best Managed symposium will address leading-edge business issues that are key to the success of today’s business leaders.

The Best Managed program is sponsored by Deloitte Private, CIBC, Canadian Business, Smith School of Business, and TMX Group.
