Press Ganey today announced that Cassandra (Casey) Willis-Abner has joined the organization as Chief Human Resources Officer. Willis-Abner most recently served as Senior Vice President, Diversity and Inclusion and Chief Experience Officer at Trinity Health, a multi-institutional Catholic health system that serves diverse communities that include more than 30 million people across 22 states. At Trinity Health, Willis-Abner led the design, development, and implementation of the system’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategic model and systemwide plans, and she played a pivotal role in developing the system’s comprehensive consumer and workforce engagement strategies.

“Fundamentally, our work is focused on reducing suffering by building trust among patients for their caregivers and among caregivers for their organizations,” said Patrick T. Ryan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Press Ganey. “Addressing racial disparities and committing to the goal of zero inequity is essential to building an engaged and resilient workforce and advancing the care experience for consumers and those who care for them. Casey’s deep commitment to ensuring equity in health care for all will be critical as we partner with leading health systems to transform care delivery.”

Willis-Abner is an accomplished health care leader known for developing transformational frameworks and building enterprise consensus for achieving operational, cultural, and service excellence. She will lead and manage Press Ganey’s Human Resources function, which includes the Total Rewards and HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition teams, as well as lead internal DEI efforts. Her expertise will also be leveraged in Press Ganey’s market-facing thought leadership around DEI, including the company’s groundbreaking Equity Partnership initiative, and other workforce-related challenges.

“I am thrilled to join the Press Ganey team and serve as a strategic partner for health care providers across the nation,” said Willis-Abner. “I have shared the company’s mission to reduce patient suffering and improve the safety, quality, and experience of patient-centered care for as long as I have been in health care. I look forward to nurturing and growing the strong Press Ganey culture that supports and drives our shared mission, as well as strengthening Press Ganey’s solutions and platforms to improve workforce engagement and patient experience in a way that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion.”
