Reporting to Moore, Ms. Brown will help lead Clearwater’s growing roster
of healthcare security and compliance experts. She joins a team with a
track record of 100 percent acceptance by the Office for Civil Rights of
risk analysis conducted on behalf of customers facing enforcement action
related to an information security breach. Supported by Clearwater’s

identify and manage the unique threats and vulnerabilities facing

Ms. Brown served as Deputy Chief Information Security Officer for the
State of Virginia from 2006-2009. Most recently, she held the position
of Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Impact
Makers, a Virginia-based management and technology consulting firm where
she helped the firm’s healthcare provider partners solve complex IT and
business problems. She also spent nearly 19 years with Centra Health,
where she served as the system’s first Information Security Officer. Ms.
Brown is an active member and advisor to several health IT and cyber
security organizations, including the Virginia Cyber Security
Partnership, Advisory Board for Virginia Commonwealth University
Computer Science Cyber Security Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense
Education, the Center for Cyber Excellence at Liberty University and the
board of directors for the Virginia chapter of the Health Information
Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
