CloudKnox Security, a cloud permissions management platform for hybrid architectures, today announced its recognition as an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Competency Partner. This achievement demonstrates CloudKnox’s commitment to empowering security and cloud infrastructure teams to add an additional layer of protection for their cloud accounts from over-provisioned human and non-human identities by automating the creation, monitoring and enforcement of least privilege policies.

The AWS Security Competency highlights solutions within the AWS Partner Network (APN) that have proven continuous technical proficiency and customer success in specialized areas, such as Security. CloudKnox achieved AWS Security Competency status through a rigorous qualification process, based on AWS business history and references from CloudKnox customers.

“We firmly believe that the greatest threat to an organization’s cloud infrastructure is the large, growing gap between the permissions granted and permissions used by trusted identities,” said Raj Mallempati, COO of CloudKnox Security. “As enterprises accelerate their cloud adoption, it’s important for security and infrastructure teams to effectively eliminate this gap across multiple cloud accounts to reduce the blast radius in the event that permissions are misused accidently or maliciously. This achievement is a testament to the value that CloudKnox brings to AWS customers.”

Earning AWS Security Competency status builds on CloudKnox’s relationship with AWS and its inclusion in the AWS Marketplace. In May 2019, CloudKnox announced that the company attained APN Advanced Technology Partner status. In December 2019, CloudKnox announced support for AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) Access Analyzer.

AWS is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Competency Program to help customers identify Consulting and Technology APN Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.
