Cohesity today announced that William Ho has joined the company’s
leadership team as vice president of sales, Asia Pacific, to accelerate
the company’s momentum in the region.
Ho brings more than 20 years of enterprise technology leadership
experience to Cohesity. He will play a key role in helping Asia Pacific
customers and partners solve mass
data fragmentation challenges.
With mass data fragmentation, massive volumes of non-mission-critical
data — data used for backup, archiving, testing and development, file
shares and object stores, and analytics — sit in silos that don’t
integrate and can be incredibly challenging, costly, and time-consuming
to back up and manage. Cohesity consolidates data silos and applications
onto one easy-to-use platform, empowering customers in the Asia Pacific
region and around the world increase IT efficiency, reduce costs and
compliance challenges, and derive powerful insights that can create
better business outcomes.
Ho previously served as senior vice president, Asia Pacific and Japan,
for the telecommunications equipment manufacturer ARRIS, where he
focused on service provider and enterprise business. He joined ARRIS in
2017 when the company acquired Ruckus, where Ho worked as vice
president, Asia Pacific and Japan, since 2013.
Ho began his career as a software engineer with Bell Northern Research
in Canada, which later became Nortel Networks, serving the company as
director, wireless solutions, Asia Pacific, and then as managing
director, Intelligent Business Unit, Asia Pacific, overseeing Nortel’s
enterprise networking business in the region. In 2005, he joined Cisco,
where he was a key executive responsible for building Cisco’s business
in Asia and China. Over a period of nearly ten years, Ho led Cisco’s
Mobile Service Provider business and strategy for Asia Pacific, and
later served as the senior vice president of Cisco China.
Cohesity has grown its presence in the Asia Pacific region as more
enterprises reduce their reliance on legacy point products and instead
embrace modern data management solutions. Recently signed customers in
the region include True Alliance and Vita
Group. Cohesity has partnered with leading resellers and cloud
service providers Data#3, Nexion Networks, Secure Agility, and Spectrum
Consulting in Australia and New Zealand.
“William has an incredible track record driving growth within enterprise
technology companies and we’re excited to have him lead sales in a
market that is critical to Cohesity’s success,” said Mark Parrinello,
vice president of worldwide sales, Cohesity.
“The innovations that Cohesity has introduced will completely transform
enterprise IT environments, and I’m thrilled with the opportunity to
bring this revolutionary technology to new partners and customers in the
Asia Pacific region,” Ho said.
Cohesity makes your data work for you by consolidating secondary storage
