Vitale earned the honor for leading Cambria Solutions’ fast-paced expansion in recent years. Cambria Solutions, an award-winning national technology and management consulting firm, has enjoyed annual double-digit revenue growth, a threefold increase in team members and has expanded to eight offices, from coast to coast.

“Suzanne has truly elevated every aspect of the company, from developing major client relationships to meeting our steadfast commitment of delivering value for the public good,” said Cambria Solutions Chief Executive Officer Robert Rodriguez, who founded the company in 2003. “She has opened the door to so many opportunities for our company and our people.”

Vitale, who has more than three decades of experience in leading technology and business innovations for improving government, joined Cambria Solutions as executive director in 2013. She was named president in January 2020, joining the ranks amongst the select few female presidents of tech companies in the U.S. Women account for about one of every four positions in the technology industry, hold only about 15% of leadership positions — and an estimated 2% of those are presidents and/or chief executive officers, according to industry reports.

“Organizational culture has a big impact on whether a woman will succeed in the largely male-dominated technology field,” Vitale said. “Cambria Solutions’ has always been dramatically different. Women represent 45% of our company’s workforce, and two of every five leadership positions are held by women – almost three times the industry average.”

Vitale said women leaders should share their challenges and experiences, helping women – and all employees – to succeed.

“Suzanne uses her executive presence to role model and cultivate a positive workforce culture,” Rodriguez said. “She encourages an open atmosphere where diversity can be communicated and where an optimal environment for growth is nurtured.”

Consulting magazine announced the honorees for Women Leaders in Technology in April 2020, however an award dinner scheduled for the spring has been postponed due to concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I feel very honored to receive this award along with the other exceptional women who share deep expertise in the technology field and are recognized for their influence and achievements in the tech and consulting industry,” Vitale said. “Being recognized as a leading woman in technology is a great opportunity to continue to promote my message and actions for supporting the value of diversity in the workplace.”
