PieMatrix Inc. (Pie) announced a new free executable checklist tool to help healthcare facilities optimize their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during the COVID-19 crisis. The tool’s process content is from the CDC and WHO.
Governor Cuomo tweeted, “NY has a critical need for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including gloves, gowns and masks — as well as ventilators. If you have or can make any of these supplies, New York is buying.”
Paul Dandurand, Pie CEO, says, “This is nuts! I offered businesses a pandemic preparation plan years ago and they said it wasn’t a priority. Now the country is in crisis mode with no preparation. Maybe I can help today, and hopefully our leaders will take preparation tools more seriously for future pandemic risks.”
The challenge with the CDC PPE guideline pages is that they are not organized as actionable tools for real-time crisis plan execution and governance.
Pie eliminated this challenge by turning the CDC guideline content into a COVID-19 PPE Crisis Plan. It’s available as a simple-to-follow executable process that can be assigned to people, checked off as done, and monitored for progress. It includes detailed CDC how-to knowledge and links to CDC source pages.

“We felt it would be immoral to charge a fee to import this process and to execute it on our platform. Therefore, I’m making both the checklist content and the tool for free to any healthcare facility for immediate use with basic features,” says Paul Dandurand.
The COVID-19 process is made to be imported into the Pie visual process application. It can be easily customized for unique needs, executed, and then prepared as a “recipe” with lessons learned for future pandemic and epidemic needs. This recipe is the third COVID-19 in a set of available recipes for businesses and healthcare.
