Mass Luminosity, a global research, technology and experiential company, has announced that network and security technologies expert Dan Hammans has joined its team as Director of Network and Security Engineering. Hammans is a proven information technology leader who has spent more than 20 years in consulting, engineering and operations roles for service providers, content providers, telecommunications companies, sports and entertainment venues, and federal and military projects.
He will oversee all network and security implementations for the company, with a focus on Beacon®, a revolutionary video and voice communication platform bringing security, quality and simplicity to video and voice communications. Created with a mission to enhance natural communication, Beacon’s state-of-the-art encryption safeguards all communication, ensuring confidentiality and protecting identity. As competing conferencing services and social media networks are scrutinized for lack of privacy, Beacon’s focus is on users’ privacy, security and safety. Launching in fall 2021, Beacon offers fast and continuous connections, 3D audio, Ultra HD video, free unlimited call time, and a plethora of interactive tools.
“Dan has a long history of working with global corporations in network and security technologies and is adept at driving strategic executive initiatives by bridging the gap between business needs and technology requirements,” said Angel Munoz, founder and CEO of Mass Luminosity. “As we launch Beacon, our users’ privacy and security are paramount. We aim to bring the simplicity of a feature-rich communications platform to the world and eliminate spying of private communication through advanced encryption and security for all voice and video calls. Dan will be leading this charge, and we are thrilled to have him on our team.”
