Metis, a leading provider of data science skills training for individuals and businesses, is announcing the launch of its live, online data science bootcamp, which will replicate its one-of-a-kind, immersive, on-site programs currently running in New York, San Francisco and Chicago in an online environment. The new online 12-week bootcamp will feature live instruction, real-time support, and daily interaction with classmates to create a highly engaging learning environment that students can experience from anywhere with a high-speed Internet connection. Metis’s three current bootcamp campuses will remain open for those who prefer an on-site experience.
All of Metis’s live, online program instructors bring deep experience from a broad range of industries and companies including McKinsey, Cars.com, and WithumSmith+Brown. In addition to world-class instruction from experts, students will have consistent access to assistant instructors dedicated to supporting them throughout their online classes. Online students will also receive a certificate of completion upon graduation and career support—including access to Metis’s robust alumni network, mock interviews and resume reviews with a career advisor, and access to Metis’s proprietary job board that features opportunities from hiring partners—until they’re hired.
“We couldn’t be more excited to launch our live, online bootcamp and make our unique immersive experience available to many more aspiring data scientists across the United States,” said Jason Moss, president and founder, Metis. “Over the years, one of the things we would consistently hear from prospective students is how they wanted to enroll in our bootcamp, but couldn’t because they understandably didn’t want to be away from their families or couldn’t afford the expense of moving to another city for a few months. Our online bootcamp helps eliminate those barriers by bringing the learning directly to anywhere our students live.”
Metis is currently able to accept applications for the live online program from residents living in the following 32 states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia. Moss says that Metis is diligently working on expanding to all 50 states and globally by the end of 2020.
As part of its commitment to foster a representative data science community, members of underrepresented demographic groups may be eligible to receive a $3,000 scholarship toward their Metis Data Science Bootcamp tuition.
Applications are now open to enroll in the next live, online bootcamp that begins in March. For more information and to apply, visit https://www.thisismetis.com/live-online-data-science-bootcamp.
