DefenseStorm, a leading cloud-based cybersecurity and cybercompliance management provider to regional and community banks and credit unions, has promoted Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) Steve Soukup to President.
“With his experience and expertise in high-growth companies, Steve possesses the skills and leadership DefenseStorm needs as we move into a new area of rapid expansion,” said Harold Brewer, chief executive officer. “Since he joined the company as CRO two and a half years ago, Steve has been a driving force behind the growth we’ve experienced in the cybersecurity and cybercompliance industry.”
Since January, DefenseStorm added 12 new clients, closed on Series A funding and held its inaugural meeting for clients. Its growth plans include further developing the cybersecurity and cybercompliance capabilities of the DefenseStorm GRID platform and TRAC service offerings while investing in the teams that sell, implement and support these services.
In addition to Steve’s promotion, Vice President of Customer and Partner Management Paige Barry is now leading DefenseStorm’s Customer Solutions Group, consisting of delivery, support and operations functions.
“Although new to the DefenseStorm family this year, Paige has shown the ability to lead delivery and operations, a newly created role that encompasses Professional Services, Cyber Threat Center, TRAC, Implementations and Support,” Brewer said. “We’re fortunate to have her lead this expanding team.”
Chief Operating Officer Jim Brockett will work on special projects until retiring at the end of the year.
“We thank Jim for the contributions he has made to DefenseStorm,” Brewer said. “He has helped to make the company into the leading cybersecurity and cybercompliance provider in the FI niche, and we wish him the best of luck in retirement.”
