Displaydata Showcases World-Leading Electronic Shelf Label Portfolio at NRF 2020

Sponsored by Businesswire

Displaydata, the world’s leading provider of three-colour fully graphic electronic shelf labels (ESLs), announced today that it will demonstrate the industry’s highest performing and most cost-effective ESL solution available to retailers at NRF’s Big Show. Displaydata’s enterprise-class ESL solution will be showcased in booth #3550 at the 2019 NRF Big Show, Jan. 12-14 at the Jacob Javits Center.

Highlighting Product Pricing with Large Format Display for In-Store End-Caps

Displaydata will feature a new large format display that is typically presented at in-store endcaps or islands, to more easily attract customers to seasonal or featured products. Having observed retailers’ business need for large price displays and the typical challenges in changing the price data when in an operational store, Displaydata showcases its first product to meet this need at NRF. The large size display is designed to highlight the price of end-cap products, providing the customer with a clear and visible price at a distance. The new display also allows store associates to focus on helping customers in the store, rather than manually changing and maintaining time consuming and error prone paper-based pricing.

Delivering Superior Scalability to Retailers Across the Globe

Displaydata delivers more scale and faster rollout capabilities than any other ESL solution. This is proven by its largest U.S. customer deploying in 2,000 stores – and its largest European customer with over 1,300 store installs across seven countries – each in under two years. Like all of Displaydata’s retail customers, these organizations manage their ESL installation from a single instance of its Dynamic Central enterprise management software and with no in-store servers, core appliances or “intelligent switches”.

Maximizing Battery Lifespan and Monitoring for the Lowest Total Cost of Ownership

Displaydata’s solution maximizes battery lifespan and delivers the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) versus any other ESL vendor. Not only are Displaydata’s ESLs the highest quality, they are also the best performing, managing up to 50% more updates per ESL over five years than the competition. The company’s full two-way communication infrastructure and vastly scalable enterprise management software provides the constant monitoring of every ESLs’ battery performance and lifetime. Using smart monitoring capabilities, Displaydata’s ESLs optimize battery management and replacement scheduling, which guarantees the solution is the simplest and most cost-effective solution to own.

“As retail enters a new decade, leading retailers around the globe are recognizing the importance of updating the shelf edge with an enhanced experience for customers and associates alike,” said Andrew Dark, CEO, Displaydata. “While adopting new technology is generally a strenuous endeavour, our labels make it easier by offering retailers an ESL solution that is simple to install, maintain and scale. With three-color, fully graphic displays, retailers can provide shoppers with any product information they’d like in a low-power environment that fosters a better in-store experience, protects profit margins and creates a store ready for 2020 and beyond.”
