Power management company Eaton has been recognized by IDG’s CIO
as a recipient of a 2019 CIO 100 award. The annual award program
recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest
level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology
(IT).

Eaton was selected for its work on internal productivity and robotic
process automation (RPA). Led by Eaton’s IT Innovation team in
collaboration with multiple business functions, the initiative involves
implementing an RPA Center of Excellence, strategy and roadmap to gain
efficiencies across several shared services centers within the company.

“By leveraging emerging information technologies like RPA, we’ve been
able to innovate and allow our employees to be more productive and focus
on work that adds the most value,” said Bill Blausey, senior vice
president and chief information officer, Eaton. “We’re honored to be
recognized by CIO for our team’s work on this exciting initiative.”

The annual CIO 100 Awards celebrate 100 organizations and the teams
