Experity, the leading provider of electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management (PM) software to power the patient-centered healthcare revolution in the urgent care space, introduced today its new software platform, Experity 2021. Following the 2019 merger of industry leaders DocuTAP and Practice Velocity to form Experity, the new platform will represent a combination of the features that propelled both to lead the on-demand care market.

With the revision of the American Medical Association (AMA) medical coding system and as approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) , effective January 1, 2021, Experity designed the software to accommodate those changes through a new charting workflow that will optimize clinic performance. The new, consolidated coding system paired with custom-built software will result in fewer clicks, increased provider efficiency and a more streamlined patient experience than ever before.

“We are excited to unveil Experity 2021, the first platform specifically built to maximize the benefit of the 2021 E/M coding update,” said Dr. David Stern, CEO, Experity. “Experity 2021 will enable our clients to maximize positive patient experiences as they grow to include primary care, telehealth and more.”

The new platform will consist of comprehensive solutions for advancing patient-centered healthcare that fall into four quadrants:

  • The Patient: Experity will expand its toolkit of patient-facing functionality to improve the patient experience through enhanced patient engagement, increased transparency into wait times and an easier payment process.
  • The Provider: The new EMR will provide powerful configurability, best-in-class speed and convenience in charting, and expanded functionality in support of the growth of on-demand healthcare into primary care and telehealth.
  • Revenue Cycle Management (RCM): Experity 2021 will support increased efficiency for on-demand care clinics by providing automation for repetitive tasks and delivering powerful tools to manage denials and rejections without having to work in multiple systems.
  • Interoperability and Data: The power of data will continue to expand Experity’s business intelligence tool set, leveraging the latest technologies to help on-demand care clinics maximize their business. Also, in an expanding healthcare IT landscape, Experity will provide effective and efficient ways for clients to interface with its software and services.

“We consulted the largest customer base in the urgent care industry to determine what improvements will benefit their businesses most,” said Matt Blosl, Experity CRO “Following this investigation, we feel confident Experity 2021 will position our customers for success as they serve patients accustomed to fast and easy service in all aspects of their lives. Through automation and streamlined workflow, the new platform will help our customers deliver a true 21st Century healthcare experience.”
