Earlier this month, the Electronic Health Record Association (EHRA) announced its annual Executive Committee elections, including the newly elected Vice Chair David Bucciferro, Senior Advisor at Foothold Technology. EHRA is a trade association of 30 companies that serve the vast majority of hospitals and ambulatory care organizations that use electronic health records (EHRs) to deliver high quality, efficient care to their patients. David began his role as Vice Chair on July 1, 2020 where he will collaborate to accelerate health information and technology adoption.
David has been actively involved with the EHRA for the past 6 years across various programs such as Patient Safety Group and the Opioid Task Force, among others. David brings a unique perspective to the group as the majority of individuals come from primary care or specialty care segments of the healthcare industry, while David brings the voices and priorities of behavioral health and intellectual and developmental disabilities community.
“As Senior Advisor at Foothold, my role has always been to provide the best possible insight on where our industry and the healthcare system in general is going, and more specifically, what is on the horizon that affects our customers,” said Bucciferro. “In my prior work with the EHRA, I have been able to bring forward the perspectives and concerns of behavioral health and IDD providers to the Health Information industry, government, and various workgroups and task forces. In my new role as vice-chair of the EHRA, I will be able to expand the reach of this voice to a larger audience. I consider my election to such a prestigious role in our industry an honor for much more than myself, but to the dedicated people who work at Foothold to ensure that we provide the best possible solutions to our customers.”
David joined Foothold in 2012 and has been a valuable subject matter expert to Foothold on industry development and changes, and policies that affect Foothold’s work and customers. “We’re so excited to see David’s expertise, leadership, and 30+ years of advocacy for individuals with disabilities recognized by an organization like the EHRA,” said Tyler Hoffman, CEO of Foothold Technology. “David is an invaluable member of the Foothold team, and we’re confident that he will do an excellent job in this new role.”
