FOX News Digital closed out a historic summer (Jun’20-Aug’20) with record engagement across all key performance indicators. The digital network also finished the month with its strongest performance of any August on record and led the news competition in multiplatform minutes for the month. Additionally, the network experienced double-digit increases versus the prior year across all key metrics, including multiplatform unique visitors (a 25 percent increase from August 2019), multiplatform views (a 14 percent increase from August 2019) and total multiplatform minutes (a 25 percent increase from August 2019), according to Comscore.
August 2020 marked the network’s ninth consecutive month notching over 100 million multiplatform unique visitors. Furthermore, the FOX News Mobile App surpassed the CNN Mobile App for the 21st month in a row in unique visitors (8.8 million versus CNN’s 7.6 million), and delivered its sixth month scoring over 8 million unique visitors.*
For the 72nd straight month, FOX News remained the most engaged news brand on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) among the news competitive set, driving over 80 million total interactions, according to Socialbakers. August also marked the highest month of total social interactions ever. FOX News remained number one in Facebook and Instagram interactions among news competitors for the month, amounting more than 56 million on Facebook and 23.5 million Instagram interactions, also according to Socialbakers. According to data from Crowdtangle, FOX News topped Facebook Video for the month, driving 248 million total video views.
Additionally, FOXBusiness.com delivered its highest month across all key performance metrics in history. In multiplatform unique visitors, FoxBusiness.com garnered 35 million, more than doubling metrics from the previous year. FOXBusiness.com drove 272 million multiplatform total minutes and saw 158 million multiplatform total views last month, securing triple digit growth across all metrics versus the prior year and finishing number one in growth versus the prior month among the business news competitive set.**
