a leading education technology SaaS provider, today announced it will be
making a donation to a local Philadelphia education charity at this
2019 conference. Knowing that conference promotional items often end
up as waste in the local community, GoGuardian, a sponsor and exhibitor
at ISTE 2019, is creating a new twist on conference giveaways by giving
away money instead of promotional items.
GoGuardian will be donating to Coded
by Kids, a local Philadelphia charity that provides young people, of
all backgrounds, with intermediate to advanced-level software
development, data science and user experience design skills.
“At GoGuardian, we are committed to creating breakthrough learning
experiences that inspire today’s students to be tomorrow’s leaders.
There is no better way than combining the power of great teaching with
the unlimited potential of the internet,” said Advait Shinde, co-founder
and CEO of GoGuardian. “Investing in an educational charity instead of
disposable give-aways is true to our mission of unleashing curiosity.”
“Coded By Kids is working to prepare underrepresented young people to
succeed as tech leaders through project-based learning and mentorship,”
said Sylvester Mobley, founder and CEO of Coded By Kids. “We appreciate
technology companies that support tech education and our vision to make
technology and innovation equitable for all people.”
GoGuardian is pledging $10 for every heart that attendees pin on the
GoGuardian Giving Tree at the GoGuardian ISTE booth (#1752), with a
minimum donation of $5000.
In addition, those who stop by the booth can interact with and learn
about GoGuardian’s portfolio of tools that help K-12 schools create safe
and effective digital learning environments. GoGuardian will be giving
live demos of GoGuardian Admin,
