Fremont
County Landfill
customers can now pay for their solid waste fees
using a credit or debit card at the county’s two landfill locations.

By using Access Idaho’s payment engine, the county can accept Visa,
MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards at its landfills in St.
Anthony and Island Park. The payment engine integrates with the county’s
landfill scale management software, SMSTurbo,
created by third-party vendor Creative
Information Systems
.

“Both of our landfill sites experience heavy traffic periodically,
especially on Fridays and Saturdays,” said Josh Warnke, Fremont
County’s
Network Administrator. “We’re very pleased with how
seamlessly Access Idaho’s payment engine works with our scale management
software. It has helped speed up our processes and provides a convenient
payment option to our customers.”

In addition, Access Idaho’s payment engine automatically emails
transaction receipts to Fremont
County Clerk’s Office
personnel for easy auditing and reconciling.

More than 160 county departments, including nine in Fremont County
alone, throughout the Gem State use Access Idaho’s payment processing
services. In addition to payment processing, Access
Idaho
manages the state’s official Web portal, idaho.gov,
and specializes solely in electronic government applications for Idaho.
The partnership operates under a self-funded model, in which no tax
dollars or county funds were used to develop and maintain the service.

Access
Idaho
