iDiscovery Solutions (iDS), a leading legal expert services firm, has promoted Hunter McMahon to Chief Operating Officer (COO). In his new role, he’ll focus on collaborating with iDS’s team of experts to provide industry-leading solutions for clients.

McMahon has over a decade of experience and leadership in technology and the legal field, most recently serving as the Director of Data Analytics at iDS since 2017.

“Hunter’s education, market history, consulting acumen, and existing years with iDS made this an easy decision,” said Dan Regard, President and CEO of iDS. “iDS is known for its global professional services and subject matter testimony. Hunter has done both, so he leads from experience.”

Clients can continue to rely on McMahon as a strategic partner who leverages data analytics for litigation, investigations, data privacy, compliance issues, and more. He is passionate about finding innovative solutions to overcome unique challenges and maximize advantages.

“I’m excited about my new role as the COO and some of the great initiatives we have planned for this year,” McMahon said. “Many of the industry’s leading experts are part of the iDS team, which means we are always thinking outside the box.”

Throughout his career, McMahon has served as a testifying and consulting expert to corporations both large and small, while working with Am Law 100 and boutique law firms. He has also held a number of leadership positions during that time, both at the director and vice president level. The promotion to COO is the next step for him.

McMahon is a member of the Sedona Conference (Working Groups 1, 6, and 11), the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
