WHO:

Juan Lara, Global Vice President of Sales Engineering for Indegy, has more than 18 years of IT security experience. He has served in the cyber security unit of U.S. Army, led sales engineering for enterprise data and application software vendor Imperva, and held sales engineering roles with Aladdin Knowledge Systems and Appteks INC. He is a frequent speaker for ISSA, OWASP, ISACA, Gartner, IANS and other professional security organizations.

 

WHAT:

One of the newest trends in industrial cyber security is the recycling of OT attacks, some of which have made a second or third appearance. This session will present three recent examples of recycled OT attacks, explain how/why this technique is commonly used to target IT networks and the factors that enable it to be perpetuated in OT environments. In addition, Juan will provide five steps security teams can take to protect industrial control networks against recycled attacks.
