JDA Software, Inc. today announced the appointment of Sue Savage Pirri as executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). Pirri joins JDA from Fortune 500 technology pioneer Autodesk, where she was a key player in the company’s business transformation from perpetual license to a subscription-based model. In her new role, Pirri will oversee all aspects of finance including financial strategy, planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, and investor relations. As JDA’s CFO Pirri will drive strategy and execution as the company continues on its SaaS transformation journey, advancing a culture of collaboration, innovation and operational excellence for JDA’s global finance and accounting teams. Pirri replaces Kevin Moriarty who recently left the company.
“Sue brings extensive experience and a unique understanding of the operational requirements and big-picture thinking required for success as a SaaS company. She joins JDA at a pivotal time as we accelerate our value delivery to our customers across all regions and segments of our business,” said Girish Rishi, chief executive officer, JDA. “Her experience in strategic planning, forecasting, financial reporting and corporate financial management, as well as her proven ability to make measurable positive impacts to the business, will play a critical role in our future success. We are delighted to have Sue join our team.”
Pirri joins JDA after 17 years at Autodesk, a multi-national software corporation with more than $3 billion in annual revenue and more than 10,000 employees. There she held a variety of financial management and investor relations roles and since 2012, as Vice President of Finance, has been responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis for the company’s worldwide field operations. She led the finance efforts to redesign sales compensation and partner incentive plans to successfully drive Autodesk’s business model transformation. As a member of the leadership team she played a key role in the formation of a council of C-level executives to improve the company’s operational effectiveness and led an initiative to drive more than $50 million in cost savings. Earlier in her career Pirri held positions at Digital Island, Electronic Arts, AirTouch Communications and Coopers & Lybrand. Throughout her career she’s led initiatives to optimize the business, scale for growth, and develop associates.
“I am excited to join a company that is so well positioned for accelerated growth,” said Pirri. “Through strategic vision, strong financials and operational excellence, JDA has defined a leadership position in the market. I’m impressed by JDA’s commitment to innovation and its steady focus on achieving growth and creating value for its customers, partners and associates. I look forward to partnering with the leadership team and bringing my own experience from the successful transformation to a subscription model to help take JDA to the next level.”
